THE HARBOR HILLS GARDEN AND WOMEN’S CLUB BY NIKKI HOFFMAN

Wondering what the Harbor Hills Garden and Women’s Club has planned for the outstanding 2025-2026 season? Club President Christine Barhold assures members that they will be delighted by the entertaining programs offered each month. Meetings are held on the first Friday of every month from October to May. All lady members of the Harbor Hills Country Club are welcome to join. Membership costs just $20. Programs are followed by lunch and relaxed socializing.

October’s kickoff event featured Master Gardener Leslie Lightbourne from the UF/IFAS Extension, where we learned techniques for enhancing landscape maintenance using the principles of Florida-Friendly Landscaping.

Join us in November as Bob Tucker from Miss Daisy’s Flowers and Gifts of Leesburg provides inspiration for holiday decorating. In December, our holiday party features an engaging show with interactive illusions, comedy, and sleight of hand, sure to entertain and delight!

Looking ahead to 2026, members can expect a health and wellness program, the return of a popular author, an off-site lunch at a local restaurant, and a fabulous fashion show. Contact us at gardenclubharborhills@gmail.com for more information about membership and upcoming activities.

Frights, bites, and delights await us on Friday at this year’s Harbor Hills Halloween Bash. The lounge opens at 5:30 PM, followed by a spooky selection of dinner items and live entertainment. Enjoy dishes such as Jack O’Lantern Ravioli, Vampire’s Delight Salmon, or Prime Rib of Beast. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Call the club at 352-753-7000 for reservations.
