2026 Sider Cup Results

Blue took the 2026 Sider Cup 24–20 and walked off with the trophy from Red. Three days, two teams, and more bragging rights than anyone can carry home. Here's how it went.

If you're new to the rivalry, it's a Ryder Cup-style showdown between the Red and Blue members. Every match is worth a point, and a halved match splits it down the middle.

With 44 points in play, Blue needed 23 to win outright and finished with 24.

Day 1: Better Ball

Blue opened with a 6–5 win, and it was closer than the score looks. Blue took five matches, Red took four, and two were halved. Better Ball is a comeback format: each pair plays its own ball and takes the better score on every hole, so one clutch putt can flip a match.

Day 2: Alternate Shot

Alternate Shot is where the nerves show. Partners take turns hitting one ball, so every shot is a team decision and a small dare. Blue took seven of 11 and won the day 7–4. Red's four wins kept it interesting, but after two days Blue led 13–9 and had the momentum.

Day 3: Singles

Singles is where everybody gets a personal shot at a hero moment, and 22 matches gave plenty of them. Each side won 10 and two were halved, so both teams scored 11. Blue's 13-point lead held: Blue 24, Red 20. Finalizing another win for Team Blue! Better next year Team Red!

Ladies' Competition

The Ladies played Tuesday and Thursday, October 6th and 8tn, and they made their own case for the trophy. Chrissie Spidell (Red) started things with the first birdie of the event on hole 1, then put her tee shot 5 feet 10 inches from the pin on the 5th. Eileen Gordon (Red) left her approach 23 feet 6 inches from the flag on the 8th, and Karen Coburn (Red) chipped in on the 10th.

Rivalry Total

Rivalry total (1994–2026): Blue has 18 outright wins and Red has 12, with two ties (1994 and 2025).
