Next Sunday, we honor the fathers in our lives. They are our coaches, providers, protectors, and spiritual guides. They are our fathers, grandfathers, and mentors, and their influence is profound.

They set an example for their sons and guide them on their life’s journey. For their daughters, dads are their first love and significantly influence their future choices. To the stepfathers who stepped up when no one else was around and to the dads raising kids alone, we appreciate you. To the grandfathers and father figures who guide us on a positive path, we appreciate you.

Guardians ad litem perform a crucial service for children in foster care. These dedicated volunteers advocate for the best interests of children during dependency court proceedings. The program is state-mandated and prohibited from fundraising. To bridge this gap, Voices for Children steps in. This 501(c)(3) organization will host the 11th Annual Auction & Dinner on June 28. Proceeds from this event benefit more than 2,250 children in local counties, including Lake, Marion, and Sumter
