A NEW SEASON FOR THE HARBOR HILLS LADIES CHARITY BY NIKKI HOFFMAN

The Harbor Hills Ladies Charity has a long history of supporting local causes in a big way. In 1993, a group of women from Harbor Hills organized a golf tournament to raise funds for local charities. Since then, their desire to make a difference has grown over the years.

Fundraising events include a spectacular holiday golf tournament and dinner, a Host and Toast gathering of friends, food drives, an outlandish Kentucky Derby party, and two new special events. Contributions to local charities are transforming lives.

The new season begins with the Annual Charity Luncheon at 10 a.m. on October 27 at Harbor Hills Country Club. All ladies residing in Harbor Hills or who are members of the Harbor Hills Country Club are invited to attend. Join us to learn about the charity's plans for another outstanding year. If you are new to our community, it’s an ideal time to meet your neighbors. Would you consider bringing new socks and underwear for children, sizes four to fourteen? We’re calling it the Socks ‘n Undies Drive, and your efforts are always appreciated. The items will be donated to The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake and Fruitland Park Elementary School. You can also contribute non-perishable food, pet food, or cleaning supplies to support families through the Christian Food Pantry.

Save the date for December 7 for our 33rd Annual Holiday Golf Tournament and Dinner. You don't need to be a club member to play golf or attend dinner. Further details will be shared in upcoming columns. Let’s work together, have fun, and make a significant difference for so many.
